Hello! I’m Chris Bibby, I’m from Brighton and I’m a DJ! I love dance music, but don’t be fooled by the dance bit. I like and can DJ with all kinds of music because I’m a great believer in music for every different mood, situation or adventure in life. So it doesn’t matter if it’s 70’s soul music or Drum and Bass from 2008, if you want to turn the volume up or get up off your arse and dance, then that’s good enough for me. I’m currently in Bath studying at university, but also DJing at clubs and events across Bath.

My first influence was a trip to Ibiza when I was 17, so I recommend this very special island to everyone who likes dance music. This got me into 'dance' music, and as I’ve already said when I say dance music, I mean anything that makes you dance.... House, DNB, Breakbeat, R'n'b, Hip-hop, soul, funk, reggae, pop, rock etc. From the age of 17 I was cutting tracks with my minidisc player and always choosing the music at parties. 2 Many DJ’s, DJ Yoda, Soulwax and The Cut up Boys all made me realise what you can with popular music and how creative you can be so from there my imagination ran (and still does run) wild… I did DJ at a couple of birthdays and parties when I was around 20 but I was probably shockingly bad!

I got a full time job and moved out of home though, and with this came the income and space to buy my own Numark Axis-9 decks and a Numark DXM06 mixer. Unfortunately, until I arrived at university a few years later they didn't see much use! Fresher’s year (2006) saw Pioneer CDJ 1000's make a dent in my wallet and Oli G honing my passion and skill with regular slots at Bath Spa Students Union. In 2007/08 I have played at Club XL (Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays), Northern Monkey @ The Weir Lounge (Mondays), Flirt @ Bath Spa Students Union (Wednesdays), Sex on the Beat @ Second Bridge (every other Thursday) and at one off gigs at The Bluerooms and B-Side bar in Bristol.

I have various events coming up over the summer and looking forward to playing at my regular nights and more next year…see you on the dancefloor! If you like my DJ sets, mixes or just my general music influence here are some of my favorite artists and some websites that are worth visiting..
